Chris Mattoon
Berkshire Wooden Boats reached a licensing agreement with Mike Bigelow this past October, 2002 for their company to build the Wenaumet Kitten. They have gathered up all the remaining forms, molds, patterns and drawings and brought them back to Pittsfield, MA. Chris Mattoon has spent a few months going over the drawings, producing a new set in AutoCAD, correcting the weather damage done to the building forms and repairing all the hardware patterns. They will be once again building traditional Kittens on the Bigelow forms. The interior is going to be upgraded, the deck will be planked and canvassed and they are going to make the boat slightly more elegant.
