The Catboat Association was established in 1962 with a simple goal: to ensure that future generations can experience the joy and heritage of sailing these remarkable boats. Over the years, we have grown from a small, local group to a thriving organization with members across the globe. Our activities range from hands-on restoration projects and sailing events to educational documents, programs and historical research.

Donations allow us to: 

• Restore: Our members undertake meticulous restoration projects to bring vintage Catboats back to their former glory, using traditional techniques and materials. Together we can support these volunteer efforts to preserve the heritage of antique and classic catboats.  

• Educate: Through workshops, articles and programs, we share the knowledge and skills needed to safely sail, enjoy and maintain Catboats. 

• Preserve: We document and archive the history of Catboats through our website, Catboats.org, and our magazine The Bulletin, ensuring that this knowledge is not lost to time.
