DESCRIPTION:The Ralph Middleton Munroe Chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association is hosting the Washington’s Birthday Regatta at The Barnacle Historic State Park in Coconut Grove\, Florida—home of the famous Sharpie sailboat designer\, “Commodore” Ralph Middleton Munroe. \nThe weekend event includes: \nSaturday\, Feb. 21st\nThe Regatta and The Mail Run on Biscayne Bay\nThe Regatta will consist of three round-the-buoys races for boats less than 30 feet LOA and less than 4-foot draft\, while The Mail Run will be a multi-point race\, for larger “modern” boats\, to bring back the mail! \nSaturday Night\, Feb. 21st\nChowder Party & Awards- location to be determined. \nSunday\, Feb. 22nd\nRendezvous Fun Sail on Biscayne Bay for all boats.\nSince this is a reenactment of the first Regatta organized on Biscayne Bay in the winter of 1887\, small sailing craft (LIKE CATBOATS) of “traditional” rig are encouraged to participate! \nWe hope to see you there!
