      The boat cover provided by Marshall for the Sandpiper holds a lot of rain water in the long side, or starboard side, of the boat. I’ve tightened it up as much as I can but rain still collects on that side. Are there any tricks to tighten it up a bit, or is this a normal occurrence?

      I have no experience with this but an idea. What if you built a boom support a little taller? Would that pull the boom tent up a bit? Let me know. I just picked up a Sandpiper myself last week.

      On another subject – my Menger 19 sail cover is giving up the ghost after 30 years! Are there any known suppliers of OEM covers? Or should I be looking far a custom job using the remaining tatters as a template?
