I am planning to use automotive clear paint protector film. I bought some from Amazon called Armor Up but could not find it this spring. I will post my results.
I have the same problem..I just repainted the spars so they look OK now but they will be beat up by the end of the season. I ran out of time. I wanted to experiment with Armor UP clear automotive paint film but have not had a chance.
